Wine, Beer, Seafood & Music Festival in February

Now you've probably heard of those typical music festivals along the coast of Oregon. The ones that have music and that's basically it. This festival is bringing seven bands to our stretch of heaven in the Reedsport area and also wine and beer tasting. Speaking of tasting, there will be seafood available for purchase as well. The festival takes place on February 17 & 18 in a little town called Gardiner, just north of Reedsport along Highway 101.

It's being held at the old Jewett School which is apropos because Gardiner is where the confluence of the Umpqua and Smith rivers meet up on their way to the Pacific Ocean. Confluence is the flowing together of two rivers or one could say a flowing together of ideas. This festival, nicknamed Confluence 2007, is certainly that. Free shuttle service will be available from the Winchester Bay RV Resort as well as other places in Winchester Bay and Reedsport. Plenty of parking will also be available at the event and at these bus stops.

Just when our friends on the I-5 corridor are looking for a place to escape the cold, this festival will be just the getaway to warm us all up. It's going to be great. Check out the information on this great new website www.101milebymile.com about the Oregon Coast.
